THE "POLTER ABEND"
Beeing old gooses, we couldn't think of someone to arrange us a 'polter abend'. ( old tradition to have fun with the bride /fiance) We were wrong...
One week before the wedding we vere hijacked to a wild go around in town. I was swindled to believe I was going to take part in a military rehearsal. The document was all real, arragned by Stefan!
I was taken in the main guard to wait for the rest of the group. When I was concentrated to write a message, I was catched by a group of friends, Hannu Jaatinen, Erkki Penttinen, Mika Aromaa, Timo Vaahtera and Stefan. We pinced ourselves in two taxis and headed to the sauna department in Hamburger Börs in Turku. We bathed, Seppo Muurinen joined us, and the boys dressed me to be a devil, all with horns, tails and gigs! With a clever smile they said that the temparature was rising up... We went for supper to restaurang Victoria. I was served a hot pepper drink, suitable for my role while the boys were sipping aperitives. For a starter they had culinary delicacies, I was serverd hard roasted small bread cubes. The humour was somewhat forced...
In the end the boys softened, and I got some real food. It was verily needed. I didn't have a chance yet to eat, and my stomach was about to receive an amount of drink in the hours to come...
Kaija was dressed to be an angel. The girls hijacked her with her head covered, with a bottle of champagne as provision. She was taken to bowl and to have a heavenly supper at Restaurant Angel. Her task was to sell 'Angels Life Instructions'. She was a powerpackage. When her eyelashes whisked, the boys were weak, and they bought...
Later in the evening we visited a karaokebar, and my becoming angel also appeared with her troops. So we, the angel and the devil, made a perfomance singing a finnish song "You belong to every day". After some sipping we went on. My task was to sell a touch of my tail. The tail was quite insinuating, indecent in fact, and very few wanted to deal with me...
Later on we were joined by a couple, Jorma and Erja Pitkonen. We kept on the speed late to the night in Galaxy night club, this time with no tricks and dodges. It was about five a clock in the morning, when we almost got to bed. Almost, because at first we had to clear out all traps that were spread out in our room. You know, colouring sweets, a hidden alarm clock, bangers, fart bags, toilet seat covered with a foil etc....
In all we spent a unforgettable evening and had extremely fun with good friends. Thank you friends!
