THE WEDDING
The wedding ceremony took place on satuday, 02.02.02. in the church of the Holy Cross in Taivassalo. As the wedding priest acted our good friend Hannu Jaatinen, godfather of Ilona, chaplain in the parish of Turun Martin seurakunta.
Many of our guest regarded the ceremony as emotional and warm. We had two charming bridesmaids, our daughter Ilona (8) and Patricia Abrahamsson (3), the youngest of our friends Outi and Stefan. The wedding march of Mendelssohn started, and we followed our angels along the corridor to the main door. Some corners of the eye were still dried here and there, but the smiles were now even broader than in the beginning.
From the main door we slipped around the church, to make a new exit. Then our guests had a chance to throw some rice. It was really not necessary to do any fertility magic for us anymore, but it was fun anyway! Even our bridesmaids still had some rice left in there bags, in spite of the trip to the photographer in Uusikaupunki. The little mouths needed some provision on the way...
